Position Description:

UCLA Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is engaged in a nationwide search for applicants for the position of Assistant Vice Chancellor-Civil Rights. The AVC-CR is a new and critical member of UCLA Office of Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion who will lead the Civil Rights Office and its mission in promoting compliance and prohibiting discrimination, harassment, and retaliation on the basis of protected social categories, such as age, race, color, sex, national origin, religion, disability, and protected veteran status. We seek candidates with the experience and expertise necessary to guide and advise the UCLA campus community in matters related to federal and state affirmative action, equal opportunity, and nondiscrimination; demonstrated excellence in management; and a passion for promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in higher education.
