Description

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide services to athletes who are participating on NVU-Johnson varsity athletic teams, including but not limited to injury prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation, immediate care, and treatment of athletic injuries.
Work under the direction of the NVU-Johnson Medical Director and make referrals to physicians and outside medical facilities as appropriate.
Coordinate proper pre-season physical screening examination for all NVU-Johnson
Keep open lines of communication with the Head Athletic Trainer, coaches, NVU-Johnson Medical Director, and NVU-Johnson Wellness Center
Maintain appropriate clinical records and prepare reports as required
Coordinate and Administer NVU-Johnson Strength and Conditioning Program

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduated from a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) accredited Athletic Training program
National Athletic Trainers Association Certification (NATABOC).
Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification
Available weekday late afternoons, evenings, and some weekends
Ability to establish and maintain effective and productive working relations with athletic staff, coaches, student-athletes, NVU-Johnson Wellness Center, physicians, and all other related personnel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Instructor Certification for CPR/AED/First Aid via American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Certification
VSC UP PAT Bargaining Unit Grade: 11 FLSA: Exempt Full-time-10 Months
